Jane's Realty Game Review

Tuesday, April 28, 2009

Jane's Realty is time management game on construction business. Jane has taken over the family business to maximize the profit and bring it to the next competitive level. Here you help Jane to buy land and clear the piece of land with the services available, then choose the type of building before able to start the construction.

There are two modes in Jane's Realty which are Business mode and Design mode. Get started with business mode first as design mode is available only after you have done Happy Valley: Level 3 at business mode. There are several places which you can build your real estate and there's a map to refer to for these places. South Village, Smiletown and Green Valley are few of the areas you develop.

Before you can build housing estate in a place, first, you have to build water tower and electric power station first. Upgrade them and then you are ready to build the houses. When the houses are ready, furnish them with bed, table, chair or paint the walls beautifully to get the rental fees as high as possible. When the tenants move in, money flows in every month and you get the money to buy more lands and build more buildings.

Occasionally, some rain fall will cause trees at the housing area to fall. Get the crane to clean up the mess to ensure safe environment for the people there. When the power station or the houses need repair, get the right tool and service to repair the buildings.

Each levels have different mission for you. Some required you to build garage, some need you to build houses and then upgrade them to more expensive houses, some requires you to build store and the list goes on. Focus on getting the goals achieved as early as possible and you get to complete the levels within the time given. When you are approaching you time limit for each level, there's this buzzing sound to remind you to speed up your actions. Some expensive buildings like garage need more money before you can build it, so accumulate enough rental money for that purpose.

Overall I find it amusing to play Jane's Realty as it really opens up the eyes for the real estate business even though it's just a simulation for casual game. Having said that, I feel that this time management game need to put in more additive factor as it tends to get repetitive at some point or other. Which means, once you have passed the learning curve of the game, you will face the same scenario at each levels except higher and higher goals set for you.

On the time management genre and also real estate theme, I recommend another similar but more engaging game.... Build in Time. Start your real estate business with Build in Time instead.

Wii Video Games

Wednesday, April 22, 2009

"The Revolution" was the name Nintendo had had initially chosen to christen its new video game console. It would have been so much better had they stuck to this name, because the product was truly revolutionary in every sense of the word.

The Wii gaming console is all about the experience of playing with the Wii remote, which is a motion sensitive, Bluetooth operated wireless controller that can be used in a number of ways. If you ever play the Nintendo sports games using the remote you will be amazed at the virtuosity of the device. In the Wii bowling game, the player can move the remote in the bowling motion to control the direction of the ball. The remote also allows you to swing the bat and pitch the ball by moving this amazing device while playing Wii baseball.

But the Wii remote extends well beyond simple sports games. Using the remote you will be able to swing your sword and hack through your enemies. While playing complicated team based sports games like football you will be able to guide the player dribbling the ball and the use the remote to aim and pass the ball to the player nearest to the goal post.

Other exciting games that can be played on the Wii console are Table tennis, in you can control the paddle by moving the remote and Laser hockey in which the remote is used to deflect the shots of the opponents and then guide the putt into the opponents goal. Another innovative game is fishing in which the remote turns into a fishing pole and you have to use to hook your catch and then yank the remote to pull up the fish.

If you aren't in the mood for taxing games, and just want to spend some time improving your reflexes, just head to the Wii shooting range and use the remote to bring down balloons, cans, clay pigeons and UFOs. If however, you don't quite relish the idea of using the remote as a substitute for a gun, then you also have the option of purchasing the Wii Infrared Laser Magnum gun. The gun with has an infrared laser beam just beneath the guns barrel and this allows you to use your weapon with pinpoint accuracy.

Talking about gaming accessories, how can one forget the Wii CTA Digital Boxing gloves. With these free fitting, ultra light weight gloves you will never have to control our fighter by pressing buttons and can pummel your opponent with your own hands.

The Wii gaming console is tiny compared to the PS3 and the Xbox 360, packs just as much action as its bigger competitors. Talk about big things coming in really small packages.

A Closer Look at the HTC Touch Diamond's TouchFLO 3D

It is quite hard to sum up all the amazing features of HTC Touch Diamond mobile phone because there is a lot to mention. First, let's take a look at the TouchFLO 3D that received more praises than criticisms from mobile phone users. The Touch FLO 3D offers a graphical user interface with eye-candy icons displayed in the phone's screen and vibrant colors that added to its impressive design. When going through files, just do a sliding motion either to the right or left on the phone's screen then it will flip to the next item. The icons for the applications are displayed either as artworks or photos which is powered through the 3D graphics processor.

Like the iPhone, HTC Touch Diamond mobile phone displays a digital clock on its Today screen but this can be customized or changed. The older version of the TouchFLO 3D was not that responsive but now that the newer version was released those problems were already addressed. Problems with navigation and opening applications are now a thing of the past.

Even though the TouchFLO 3D went under construction and was improved it still is not perfect. Like, in order to use the TouchFLO 3D it still needs to be launched through the "Tap here to launch TouchFLO 3D" seen in the screen. It does also lag some time around 1-2 seconds when flipping or opening an application. It limits the user in using the stylus only to press the button or key properly while in iPhone no need to use the stylus.

Tips on Oil Painting - Know Your Oil Painting Brushes

Monday, April 20, 2009

Let us begin with the standard type of brushes used when painting with oils. Here they are:

* The Flat - The flat brush has a flat ferrule, is square-ended, and has medium to long hairs. The ferrule of a bush is the metal sleeve used to join the bristles and handle of the brush.

The flat brush able to carry a lot of paint and can be handled fairly easily. It can be used to produce bold sweeping strokes or when used on its edge it can also draw fine lines.

* The Filbert - The filbert brush has a thick, flat ferrule and is oval-shaped with medium to long hairs. It has long handles. It is a compromise between a flat and a round brush. With its soft rounded edges, the filbert brush is often used for blending and drawing. If used for the purpose of blending, natural hair is best because the wet hairs hold together better.

* The Bright - The bright brush has a flat ferrule, short-length hairs, and is usually set in a long handle. The width and length of brush hair is about the same. The bright brush is suitable for short controlled strokes with thick or heavy color.

* The Round - The round brush has a round ferrule, is round or has a pointed tip. It is used to produce fills, washes, and thick to thin lines. A pointed round is good for fine detail. A pointed round brush is with very short hair is called a detailer for obvious reasons.

Then, there are also a number of special oil brushes that are used to accomplish specific tasks. Here are some of them:

* The Fan - The fan brush has a flat ferrule and has hairs spread out in a half circle. It is used for soft blending, smoothing, textures, and specials effects. For soft blending, natural hair is best while synthetic works well for textural effects.

* The One Stroke - The one stroke brush has a flat ferrule, is square-ended, and has medium to long length hairs. It has a short handle and can hold large amounts of paint. It is primarily used to paint block letters in one stroke hence its name.

* The Sash - The sash has long handles and tapered bristles. Bristles are stiff hairs. The sash is perfect for detailed work on large paintings and decorative painting.

* The Script and Liner - The script brush is a pointed, narrow brush with very long hair. Liner brushes have shorter hairs and are narrower. The script and liner brushed have round ferrules, short handles, and high paint carrying capacity. They are used for lettering (such as signing your paintings), outlining, highlighting, and to produce long thin strokes.

The brushes as described above are really more than you need to start painting with oils. If you are a beginning artist it may be a good idea to try out the flats and the filberts first.

For example, learn how to paint with one filbert real well. See how far you can carry your paintings with just this one brush. You will be surprised, after a few months of practice, how versatile that filbert really is.

It is better to become an expert with one kind of brush than being half an expert with many. Of course, you will eventually find out that you can't do everything with just one filbert. Only then should you add another type of brush to your repertoire.

Original Oil Paintings - The Lost Art of Oil Painting

Sunday, April 19, 2009

Oil painting is an art form that dates back centuries and has played a key role in the decorations of castles, famous estates and the homes of commoners. Some of the most well-known and well-loved artists in the world used the medium of oil painting to capture timeless scenes from history, religion, politics and art. Many of the paintings done so long ago can still be viewed today in fine museums around the world. Others have been lost to time.

Oil painting has become something of a lost art, as the medium is readily available to anyone. However, the true skill of an artist well-versed in the oil painting technique is not as common. An originally oil panting can be done by virtually any person, regardless of skill, education or experience however the lost art of oil painting means that there are a steadily decreasing amount of people who take the time to educated themselves on the intricacies of the medium.

Traditional Portrait Painting Before cameras, a person would commission a portrait from an artist as a birthday gift, a wedding anniversary gift or as a unique gift for another special occasion. Portrait painting traditionally requires that the subject sits very still for hours on end while the artist attempts to capture the scene as accurately as possible through an original oil painting. This process was often arduous and tiring, as it required a commitment of a long span of days from broth the artist and the person who had commissioned the portrait

The Technological Revolution The new digital age of art has heavily influenced virtually every art medium, including oil painting. Modern technology has almost obliterated the need for long sessions sitting still during a portrait painting. Now, families or other groups who wish to commission a portrait can simply hand the artist a photo and have an oil portrait once the artist is finished translating the photo to canvas.

The lost art of oil painting has fallen prey to the convenience and speed of the digital age as well as to busy schedules and short deadlines. However, oil painting artists are generally considered to be fine craftsmen and are reimbursed for their expertise with prestige and (usually) substantial commission fees.

Allan holder is the founder and owner of My Picture Painter Oil Paintings: which is a site dedicated to the revival of the lost art of portrait painting. In today's fast paced world, sitting for a portrait painting is simply not practical. We allows the user to submit a photo to our network of talented artists who will paint a personal oil painting from your photo.

PAL LCD TVs

Saturday, April 18, 2009

If you are bent on buying a new state-of-the-technological-art TV set, my choice would be the LCD television that is compatible with the PAL broadcast standard.

PAL, or phase-alternating line, is the standard broadcast system used in most parts of the globe, including Asia. To those residing in select countries of Asia and Europe in particular, it is important that their television sets be PAL compatible. Otherwise, their TVs would not be able to capture the video and broadcast programs. In other words, the television would have no signal and it will not work.

The PAL system is an analogue broadcast standard using some 625 alternating lines, and operates in most countries on the 50 HZ frequency. It is basically a system of encoding colours to produce greater picture details and broader colour luminance.

PAL is the broadcast standard use in Asia and Europe, in contrast to the NTSC system in the United States, Japan and others. The other or the oldest television standard is SECAM, which is still being adopted by a few countries, like France. First commercially used in 1967, PAL has eight different and generally incompatible types in use, throughout much of the worldtypes B, G, H, and also D, I, K, N and M. Asian countries on the PAL standard include China, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Laos, Lebanon, Nepal, Pakistan and Thailand. It is also used in the United Kingdom and most European countries and in some countries in South American and Africa.

A number of these new television models are out in the market, and fortunately, these are configured to work with the different world television standards. The so-called multi-system TVs invading the high-end market are able to receive broadcast systems from either PAL, NTSC or SECAM standards. Most of todays advanced models are generally portable because they are lightweight, and you could even bring your very own TV along, to watch any local broadcast when traveling to almost any point in the globe.

Now, whether you opt for a multi-system model or not, we suggest that you choose a set with Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) monitor. LCDs offer a wealth of advantages not previously possible with conventional television.

Such a TV utilises the liquid crystal technology for its visual output. This technology is generally based on Thin Film Transistor (TFT). Early LCD TVs had certain inherent problems relative to the traditional visual display systems. It displayed 'ghosting' images with fast moving action and was best viewed looking perpendicular to the screen or from a slight angle. In the recent years, these problems have been over-come, and LCD TVs, along with Plasma displays, have become dominant TV products in the world market.

In October, 2004, the market saw the entry of LCD TVs with 40 to 45 inches screen, while Sharp announced the successful launch of a 65 inch panel. Consequently, in March, 2005, Samsung came out with an 82 inch LCD panel.

LCDs belong to the new breed of high-definition television that gives very sharp pictures and amazingly vibrant colors. Because of the vibrant images displayed on the monitor screen, LCD televisions can appear to give off superb contrast as well. This kind of television especially gives off captivating images during bright light situations. Backlight is built into each monitor to provide brightness.

Compared to the traditional Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) televisions, LCD monitors are flat. They are light in weight, unlike the CRT models that are very heavy and bulky. LCDs are so slim and flat that they can make to blend with the interior design of a room and can even be hung on the walls.

LCD or liquid crystal technology use millions of crystals trapped in a liquid base. When electricity is turned on, the heat-sensitive crystals, encased in between two panes of glass, allow light to pass through. In an LCD monitor, this property is manipulated in varying degrees so that the screen produces pixels of a broad range of colors and thus be able to display images. It is the light behind the glass panel that beams light through the monitor display. The liquid crystals, when subjected to electric current, block the light, resulting to patterns of gray and transparent crystals. The most commonly used type of liquid crystal is the twisted nematic or TN liquid crystal.

The tiny transistors are laid on a polarized glass substrate, and specific rows are turned on to allow an electric charge to reach a target column. This way, only a particular capacitor at a particular pixel is charged. This process is done in minutely exact increments, resulting in an amazing range of over 256 shades or levels of brightness for each color pixel.

LCD television traces its history to as far back as 1888 when Austrian scientist Friedrich Reinitzer first discovered the phenomenon of liquid crystallization. However, it was only in 1968 when the earliest LCD was developed by the RCA television company.

LCD monitors used to be available under-20 inch sizes. However, manufacturers have been utilising scientific advances to come up with better and bigger-sized LCD monitors. Certain models now reach up to 50 inches in width.

As LCD technology improves, so does the pricing. Where these TVs used to be more expensive than their Plasma counterparts, LCD televisions are now priced competitively and come in various sizes to choose from.

A very good feature of LCD TV is that its monitor can last up to 25 years or over 60,000 hours of normal use. This is so because its light source is replaceable. It also evades the occasional problem of burning-in, that can affect the other kinds of television. This is owing to the fact that unlike Plasma TVs, LCDs do not use phosphor dots; instead colour filtersred, green and also blueare utilized in the layered active matrix panel.

The LCD televisions that first appeared in the market did not produce good visuals when compared to CRT TVs. The early models had "ghost" images when displaying fast acting scenes. Today, however, LCD viewing has become a pleasurable experience, and even highly anticipated. Pictures viewed are very smooth and clean because of the so-called "reverse pulldown" correction, that the television does to the distortions caused by the process of transferring film into video for broadcast purposes.

LCD television of all brands and sizes have flooded the market. Among the big manufacturers are Sharp, Sony, Samsung, Panasonic, Hitachi, JVC and LG Philips. Generic LCDs, which naturally come at lower prices, are readily available through the Internet. Prices can run as low as under $200 and as high as over $1,000, depending on its brand, features widescreen or standard aspect ratio and size. LCD TVs come in flat panel, rear projection and now, even in wireless or portable models.

Before buying your new LCD television, however, it is best to remember certain things. Firstly, try to visualize the placement for your TV. Capitalise on the fact that LCD models are sleek and compact. An LCD monitor is actually more of a decorative fixture rather than a mere home appliance. If you are buying a flat panel model though, installing it should be a breeze and almost like a painting to behold. Wall or ceiling mounts and table stands can also be used to display your LCD television.

Also, decide where to buy your new digital TV. It might be better to purchase your LCD unit in an established dealer around your residence to facilitate easier or quicker access to after-sales service. Take note that prices can vary, with stores offering the best prices likewise offering the least quality service. But whether you are shopping via the traditional route or via the Internet, always try to background check a retailer; and find out more about its policies and record of service. Do not forget the insurance.

Aside from the visual experience and the sleekness of designs, LCD technology has made possible, perhaps the important feature of LCD television, is its practical offer of reduced power consumption. LCD TVs are very, very energy-efficient and, inch for inch with CRTs, consume over 50 percent less electricity. In other words, you can bring in to your home big-screen experience sans the extra cost of added electricity. And because burn-in is not an issue with LCDs, your family can practically watch your entire favorite broadcast programs or DVD movies nonstop.

110-220 Volt Electronics - A multisystem TV is a TV capable of receiving and displaying different video systems like PAL, SECAM and NTSC. You'll be able to operate a multisystem TV in 99% of the world. Their dual voltage design allows them to be plugged into either a 110 voltage source or a 220 voltage source. In some cases, the plug on the television will not fit your country's outlet, so an inexpensive plug-adapter will be needed. They can generally be picked up at an electronics store such as http://www.planetomni.com for $1.95. With a multisystem TV, such as a plasma, CRT tube type, LCD or DLP, you'll likely need a codefree (sometimes called region free) DVD player. These exist in many forms. When used with a PAL-NTSC TV you'll be able to see the full 625 lines of resolution available in the PAL system and the full 525 lines used in the USA NTSC system. There exists a converting type of DVD player which is codefree in that it can read all of the world's 6 regions and both standards, PAL and NTSC. 140,000 other products are available here: http://www.planetomni.com Tel. # 800-514-2984

How To Draw 3D Cartoons Quickly And Easily

Drawing cartoons is not the most difficult thing in the world but it isn't very easy either. You need time, imagination and sense of proportions to produce vivid characters and make your drawings look three-dimensional.

Colors and shades have a decisive role in the business but the lines and curves you use for the contour constitute the basic element. The art of adding shadows can be learned by studying objects in different places of your room if you can count on natural light. Otherwise, a lamp may be used to detect the difference that light makes in the appearance of an object. Grab a funny toy that you have in the house and a little lamp and start learning. Move the lamp around the toy and above it and make a visual note of what happens each time.

Now take a pencil and a piece of paper and try putting down your toy-character. Draw the contour and when you think it looks like your toy you may use a black color pencil to add firmness to the contour. Next step: color your character without thinking of shadows; they will come soon. As soon as you have filled the contour you will have to find the appropriate color pencil to make shadows with. Use a darker shade of whatever color your character is. Don't use gray or black, they will make your drawing look artificial.

With animal cartoon characters, the expression of the eyes and the proper shading are the basic elements that make them 'live'. The only thing to keep in mind is the head, which must be bigger for a baby animal. Yet, when you want to create people, proportions are a lot more important than colors. When we watch a film we usually concentrate on the face of an adult human character, but the general appearance can be easily noticed by the way it moves. Looking at a photo of yours or at your 6-year-old brother playing about the room will not help. There is nothing funny in real-life proportions. What you should do is exaggerate more or less in order to make your cartoon character amusing. A kid character will have a body about the same height as the head, while an adult character will look perfect with the body twice the height of the head.

Once you have created a set of animal and human cartoon characters (preferably on a graphic tablet with a stylus) and saved them in your computer, you may start preparing for a more difficult activity: creating 3D animations. There are several programs you can use to learn that. TrueSpace for instance is free and if you read the tutorial thoroughly and spend a couple of months of your life learning and testing the wide variety of options that the program includes, you may turn into an artist before you can notice. Nothing is easy when you try it for the first time, but with a little patience and a lot of passion you can make it. Believe me, 3D animation is a lot of fun, otherwise there wouldn't be so many adults doing it for pleasure. It is challenging and very rewarding. Try it yourself!

Stop Motion Animation - Mixing With Live Action

Friday, April 17, 2009

Over 100 years ago a pioneer in stopmotion animation, (1892-1965), started making the first short movies with stopmotion animation after his experiments with documentaries on insects. One of his first movies the 1912 Khanzhonkov Company Moscow , produced "The Cameraman's Revenge" featured beetles and "infidelity" of all things!Ladyslaw Starewicz

Originally Starewicz would use wire legs to attach to the insects' bodies. Later he would use quiet intricate ball & socket armatures ( well before his time ) combined with leather and felt-covered puppets in place of the delicate "dried" insect carcasses. He further extended his characters to frogs and human like figures in "A series of Animated Figures executed by the Russian Art Society of Paris" in 1922. While these animations had no live action intermingled in them they set the stage for Stop motion animation movies to come.

In 1925 Willis O'Brien (1886-1952) wowed audiences with his effects work on a film adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Lost World.

A precursor to this were some of O Brien's earlier stop motion animation works; notably "The Dinosaur and the Missing Link: A Prehistoric Tragedy" in 1915. . O Brien used clay animation characters in this movie.

Soon after he began work on a similar movie about people stranded on a deserted island full of dinosaurs. This feature was originally called "CREATION". Unfortunately, studio executives lost interest and dropped the project early on in production. They however did employ O' Brien and his special effects skills on a movie originally entitled "THE EIGHTH WONDER." The film was released in April 1933 under the title "KING KONG" a true classic for film history. This was undoubtedly one of the first mainstream successful movies to incorporate live action and stop motion animation. "Son of Kong" followed in December 1933 to equal acclaim.

Edward Nassour (1911-1962) the animation supervisor for the 1951 movie "Lost Continent" followed on now well established genre of mixing live action and stopmotion animation again with the theme of dinosaurs and monsters. Though the film was not as well received as previous such movies it did however keep the genre alive. "The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms"

In 1953 he famous animator animated the enduring monster from "The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms". This movie can be described as one of the original landmark Harryhausen film..with its theme of the atomic age monster movies. It spawned a whole eara of "certain Japanese monsters" created by atomic experiments in early days of the Atomic bomb.

Ray Harryhausen.

1970 saw the release of a movie based on a book by JG Ballard called "When Dinosaurs ruled the Earth". Master animator Jim Danforth created some memorable images in this movie and also later with Ray Harryhausen in "The Clash of the Titans" in 1981. The tradition of mixing stop motion animation with live action continued in the 80's with the sci-fi thriller "Dreamscape" (1984). A large snake man creature keeps chasing the lead character in his nightmares using puppetry but also stop motion animation. Nightmare On Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987) employs stop motion in one pivotal scene to great effect.

However as the millennium came and went the genre of mixing live action and stop motion animation in major film releases gave way to CGI. There are still however many examples of live action and stop motion animation used in short movies, documentaries and commercials such as the Sony Bravia Commercial with animated bunnies running throughout New York. Or the Sony PSP commercial which featured objects in animation and live action rather than character or puppet animation. Its notable also that the preferred medium seems now to move towards object animation rather than the more time consuming character animation of what is now the last century.

Dermy O Reilly is an experienced StopMotion animator based in Ireland. He has worked as a consultant for a number of stopmotion animation software developers and wire frame armature manufacturers. Dermy is currently promoting a website to enthuse newcomers to stopmotion animation at StopMotionCentral.com

Rembrandt and His Life

Thursday, April 16, 2009

Acclaimed as one of the greatest painters that ever lived, Rembrandt's is also dubbed as "one of the greatest prophets of civilization." And unlike many artists who have post humus fame, Rembrandts was a very successful artist in field in his youth, albeit he suffered financial difficulties later on in his life and failed to recuperate from his debts.

Born in 1606 in Leiden, Netherlands, Rembrandt belonged to a middle class family. He was sent to a Latin school and was sent as a painter's apprentice early in his life. At the age of about 18 or 19, he opened his studio at a very tender age and began accepting students.

Rembrandt married Saskia Van Uylenburg in 1635. Saskia was the cousin of Hendrick Van Uylenburg, a man with whom Rembrandt used to work with when he moved to Amsterdam. His marriage to Saskia was the start of hi life's challenges. Three out of their fours children died and only one survived adulthood. Titus, the surviving child had a nanny when Saskia became ill, probably of tuberculosis. This nanny, Geertje Dircx, also became Rembrandt's lover. Geertje would later accuse Rembrandt of breach of promise and she would win the case and receive 200 guilders a year. Rembrandt retaliated with this by committing her to twelve years in an asylum when he found out the Geertje sold or pawned jewelry which Rembrandt gave to his wife, Saskia.

Rembrandt and Saskia mortgaged a house for 13,000 guilders. This purchase would soon be the root cause of his financial failure, not that he could not afford it but his spending habits were not practical. He was spending money at about the same pace that he was earning them. The house is now called the Rembrandt House Museum. Saskia died in 1642 and Rembrandt painted her on her death bed-considered as one on Rembrandt's most moving works of art.

Among his trysts were Hendrickje Stoffels, a considerably young maid which he had a relationship with in the late 1640s. Stoffels helped Rembrandt alleviate his financial condition by setting up a business with Rembrandt's son Titus and hiring Rembrandt as an employee. This was necessary since the painting guild issue a new ruling that no one could trade as a painter in Rembrandt's wing. Rembrandt did not marry Hendrickje Stoffels for legal purposes. If he did, he would lose his rights to his son's trust fund, which he used for his own living as Titus was very young.

Rembrandt is famous for his etchings and depictions of biblical scenes. He was also known for having changed his painting style several times, the most prominent of which transpired in the 1650s when he put in more colors to his paint and made his brush strokes richer and more pronounced.

In summation, Rembrandt is still one of the greatest painters that ever lived, notwithstanding his failure in managing his finances. After all, artists are know for having eccentric or weird behavior, and these behaviors are always compensated by what they can do or what they have contributed to society.

Find Inexpensive PS3 Games and Accessories Available

Who doesn't love games?!? I don't think I can name one person that is my age who doesn't enjoy playing video games online or offline, it's just a fact of life! Between the DS lites and the Xbox 360s there's no denying that gaming is a large part of a lot of people's lives. According to market researcher David Cole, who runs the firm DFC Intelligence, his best estimate is that 40 percent of U.S. households own a working video-game console. Michael Pachter, an analyst for Wedbush Morgan Securities, estimates that 52 percent of households own consoles. Neither Cole nor Pachter is counting handheld devices, such as Nintendo's Game Boy or Sony's PlayStation Portable (PSP). Whether it's 40% or 52% those are still pretty large percentages regarding ownership of gaming consoles!

The only downside to teasing us with all these new gaming capabilities is the price. Wii, for example, has been out for a while now and it still costs a few hundred bucks to buy one of these things. I even tried eBay, one of my all time favorite stores and the price can go up to $4,000 when bidding! That, to me, is just ridiculous. I would never pay that much for a system, ever! Sony Playstation 3 comes in at around $400 on a site like Best Buy, and Xbox 360 comes in at around $260 for a regular Xbox 360 and at around $400 for an Elite. The games aren't much better heading in at around $40-$100 per game depending on its popularity and if it's a special "limited" game.

So, what exactly are people supposed to do? Just not buy these consoles or games? No! Here's what I do, I visit sites that have cheap or discount games and consoles. This allows you to buy the same exact quality assurance product at a store such as Best Buy but not pay an arm and a leg for the product. For example, a PS3 at a discount store will cost somewhere around $284 compared to other predecessors such as Best Buy for $400. That is sick! In this case, you could buy a discount PS3 for you and a friend and just top the price of one PS3 at Best Buy. The same goes for the top PS3 games. For example, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue (PS3) cost about $40 at Best Buy, and at discount stores about $20! That's a $20 savings difference! Alright, let's try for top PS3 accessories. The Logitech Driving Force Pro Wheel (PS3) From Logitech (yes the discount sites sell everything the regular stores do) which cost about $150 in retail stores and $75 in discount store. That's pretty incredible.

So, really, which choice is the best choice? Really, I would go for the discount store. You can have all the same high quality products the regular stores sell, for a fraction of the price, and who doesn't love saving money?!? Try it out for yourself so you can see exactly what I mean. Have fun and if you get stuck on any of the games you can always look for PS3 cheats online, there are plenty around!

Super Mario Bros - A Detailed Look

Tuesday, April 14, 2009

Mario Brosstarted off as an arcade game made by the gaming giants Nintendo and was first released in 1983. Later on portable versions for home gaming systems were developed. It was a by-product of the popular Donkey Kong series with a heavy influence of the game Joust developed by William Electronics in 1982. Designed by Shigeru Miyamoto, it was the first game to use Mario's name in the title (Mario was called Jumpman in earlier versions). It also starred Mario's brother, Luigi (hence the name Mario Bros.) who later became a permanent fixture of Mario games. He is usually shown as Mario's cowardly young brother but later on due to his popularity he took a distinct personality of his own with surprising moments where he stood up for his own. Unlike Donkey Kong, where Mario appeared simply as a side-show carpenter, in this game Mario starred as a plumber, destroying pests that emerge from pipes.

A remade version of the game is included as a mini-game within the original Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) release of Super Mario Bros. 3 and also features in the remake, Super Mario All-Stars. Improved remakes of Mario Bros. were released on the Famicom Disk System. A contained version of this remake called Mario Bros. Classic was released solely in the European market.

The game begins with a classical music piece from Mozart's Eine kleine Nachtmusik. Apart from the two main characters, Mario and Luigi, the game includes several enemy figures like;

Shellcreeper:

Sidestepper:

Fighter Fly:

Slipice:

Popularly known as Freezies, these are blocks of ice that, no points for guessing, freezes platforms. These resemble flies, as is suggested by the name, and can be hit only from beneath. Crab look-alikes, they take two hits to flip and are just a tad faster than the shellcreepers. These look like turtles and have to be hit once to flip and get eliminated.

The game strategy is to kill these vermin coming out from the pipes by hitting them from above or below, making them flip and then shoving them off the screen with a kick. The tricky part is that if they are not taken off the screen right away after flipping them, they flip over and become faster than before and therefore more difficult to kill. Small gold coins keep popping up through out the game which when collected give bonus points to the players. Three small square blocks appear in the game which when hit throws off all the enemies from the platforms. But as said earlier, they appear only thrice throughout the game and have to be therefore used sparingly.

Most, if not all, Mario Bros games revolve around the main theme of this one. Later additions were made to make the game more advance and complex to make it challenging and interesting for the players. Some of the later versions include, Super Mario Advance, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, Super Mario Bros. 3 and Mario Clash.

Game Boy Advance, Game Watch, Saga, Virtual Boy and Virtual Console all offer Mario Bros. games.

Mario Game are available in a lot of platform such as the GameBoy Advance, Famicom Disk System, NES and many others. There are also flash game versions of Super Mario available for download. Checkout Free Mario Game for free online games to play.

Rolex Replica Watches

Thursday, April 9, 2009

Most people know that Rolex watches are the epitome of good living. From film stars to pro golfers, everyone who is someone will wear a Rolex.

Since Rolex watches are beautiful, Rolex replicas have emerged on the market, and they proved to be a hit. For an inexperienced person, replica Rolex watches appears exactly like the original. To tell the truth, apart from the price, only a few details make the difference between good Rolex replica and the real thing. There are replicas so well manufactured that they sell out as quick as the original. The replica Rolex watches industry is so profitable, that there are stores and sites that specialize in the selling of Rolex replicas.

The people who run these businesses knew how to take advantage of the fact that most people would rather pay a smaller amount of money on a Rolex replica than spend a small fortune on the real deal. They are very successful because their philosophy is that even in the world of replicas there are things that cannot meet the highest quality of the replication process. There are even arguments about which are the best Rolex replica producers: the Italians or the Swiss. The proof of the size of the Rolex replicas industry is the existence of sites and guides that provide possible buyers with tips on how to choose a trusted replica seller. The first rule states that a trusted seller always accepts credit cards and COD. The safest method is to use the Credit on Delivery (COD) system, but using credit cards is safe. This is a first guarantee that you are not being the subject of a fraud. As well as that, the seller should provide reasonable warranty. Cheap replicas come with a 30-day warranty, but genuine Swiss or Italian replica Rolex watches offer between 120 days and one-year warranty. In addition, you should benefit from an offer of 100% money back guarantee; if not, it is definitely preferable to search for another seller. Moreover, the display of the pictures of the watches is frequently an indication of the quality of the replica Rolex watches.

The fewer the photos, the more chances the replica is of poor quality. You cannot expect to sell Rolex replicas worth hundreds of dollars if you only post one single picture of every model. As well as that, real Rolex watches are always set to 10:10, so if you see that, you are probably facing a real Rolex photo and an expensive replica that is not worth the money.

Finally yet importantly, good replica Rolex watches should have reasonable prices. For instance, if you find an offer of a $500 Swiss replica, it may well be worth it. Nevertheless, if the seller does not accept credit cards, you should know that they are probably trying to sell you a Japan replica watch that would otherwise normally sell for about $200. In the end, your guiding principle in the selection of a replica should be as much prior research as possible.

In this manner, you will be able to prevent any potential attempt of fraud that regularly happens in the case of uninformed buyers.

Google Brings the Earth to Your Desktop

Sunday, April 5, 2009

Google Inc. has launched a new software package that allows you to see satellite images on your desktop.

Google Earth lets you search for locations anywhere on earth and display 3D aerial images of major cities and tourist attractions. Google Earth is in development, but a free beta version is available for home users. Locations can be searched by address, intersections, cities, zip codes or countries and the images can be zoomed in close enough to see streets and buildings.

The images generated are 3D you can rotate the view to see different sides of an object. You can navigate using a mouse or the keyboard, and view selectable layers to display information about local features such as roads, terrain, schools or golf courses.

Images of 38 US cities can be viewed from the ground up allowing you to see 3D representations of buildings and terrain. Measurement functions include distances between two locations, perimeters, radius and area.

Search results can be saved, printed and emailed. Driving directions can be automatically generated and you can trace the route using the Play button located underneath the directions tab.

Google Earth is based on technology from Keyhole Corp., a digital mapping company acquired by Google in 2004. The database that drives Google Earth is based on images from satellite and airplane photographs. The database is said to be multi-terabytes in size.

Google Earth is available in several versions. The free version is for personal use. Google Earth Plus costs $20 and integrates data from your GPS device. Google Earth Pro costs $400 and is designed for businesses who need a research and collaboration tool. Finally, there is Google Earth Enterprise Solutions for on-site deployment of Google Earth.

The technology behind Google Earth is not new, and smaller companies such as GlobeXplorer LLC have been offering 3D aerial views for several years. Google has the marketing clout, however, to bring the technology to the consumer level and integrate it into its advertising programs.

Users can search for local businesses and receive a viewpoint of 10 search results within a specified area. Clicking on a business listing brings up its address, phone number and driving directions.

Taking Digital Camera Photos - Back to Basics

Saturday, April 4, 2009

I thought taking digital pictures was just the process of simply holding the camera and pushing that shutter button after saying "cheese" to my subjects. Now I realize how wrong I was comparing previous images to my very recent ones. Remember that taking better quality pictures means taking fewer pictures overall since you're taking fewer bad shots; you don't only save on memory space but also save you energy and time.

Learning the proper way of photo taking shouldn't only be a standard but a responsibility. Do yourself a favor; do not spoil the camera and your pictures. Learn the Basics NOW.

Holding the Camera

Proper Camera handling may sound elementary but when disregarded can lead to countless retakes, lines of the infamous "hold on, one more time", and the possible spoiling of those precious moments. Holding the camera firmly in your hand means that you can prevent the camera from shaking or shifting too much when pressing the shutter button, also watch your spare fingers as they have tendencies to interfere with the lens. Wrap the camera strap around your fingers so that you will be more aware of where they are.

Focusing

Digital cameras take slightly longer to focus than film camera, so an important tip when capturing an image is to half-depress the shutter button until the camera has had time to lock the focus, and then completely press the button to take the actual shot - this can often make the difference between blurry, out-of-focus shots, and clear pictures.

Preview

On standard film cameras, there are no second takes, the image is final and when the photos are printed the mistakes are absolute; waste on film, paper, and fees but that was history. Today, one of the main advantages of a digital camera is being able to preview the pictures after you've taken them (and have an automatic basis for a retake or exclusion). I mean why keep a picture if it's blurry, or someone's eyes are closed, or a person is smiling when it's a funeral, and or some hands simply obstructing part of the view?

Storing

Imagine a scenario where you reach for your camera and clicking the button seeing the perfect kiss, smile, stunt, or sunset and imagining your friends' reactions when you show it to them, only to realize that your storage is full and you've missed that "precious" moment. Next time clear off your old pictures weekly or monthly and bring a second memory card or stick when you go on a trip, even if your primary card/stick is large, just in case you need the extra space.

Digital Cameras - A Means to Store Happiness and Past Sentiments

Wednesday, April 1, 2009

Human beings are social animals. Mankind cannot exist without social gatherings or social interactions. Sometimes such social gatherings get memorable and must be captured in cameras so that we can cling on to the happy moments of time throughout our life. We often go to tourist places to relax and take a break from the everyday hectic life. Quite obviously most tourist places are either hill stations, the sea side or even historical places. What we often wish to do is to capture these beautiful scenarios in a Digicam. It may be video or a still. The photos can be later hung in our rooms. However, with the latest technology it can be uploaded in our PC, laptops or mobile phones with the help of high end cams.
